The Run of the Mill Folk Dance Club |
A Wednesday evening at Holloway
We are an English Folk Dance Club, founded in 1979, and based in Holloway in the middle of Derbyshire, a few miles from Matlock, Cromford and Crich.
We meet fortnightly on Wednesday evenings.
We do English dances ranging from the 17th century to new ones written this year, plus the occasional American, contra or square.
We have around 35 members, with typically about 20 at a Club evening. We are always keen to welcome new members of any age, each dance is explained, no previous experience of dancing is necessary. You can come as a couple, or on your own - there will be someone for you to dance with.
The Background page explains the types of dance we do, the Info page gives a detailed description of our evenings, a complete list of dates is on the Calendar page, and if you have no idea what this dancing is then the New to dancing page will start you off.
Whether you are an experienced folk dancer, or just looking for something new to try, we look forward to seeing you.
